Nicole & Drew's Classic and Colorful Mardi Gras Wedding in the French Quarter | New Orleans, Louisiana

color + energy + laissez les bons temps rouler

This is how we describe a "traditional" New Orleans wedding and Nicole and Drew's may have topped them all. With Mardi Gras marked on their calendars as their favorite holiday of the year, this fun as hell, joyous couple planned their wedding on King's Day...the first day of the Mardi Gras season and y'all, it was one for the books.

Nicole and Drew started the day getting ready with their Krewes and taking it easy before the ceremony at St. Louis Cathedral. Even the priest knew to hurry the ceremony so the newlyweds and their guests could start the party and omg, they started it off the only way we know how. With all of the wedding party and guests in tow, they paraded a second line through the French Quarter streets to their reception at the Riverview Room, a ballroom flanked by views of the Mississippi River on one side and the city on the other.

Everything was quintessential New Orleans and reminded me of how much I love my city. The parties, the atmosphere and most of all, the people can't be beat. Nicole and Drew rang in their marriage with so much pure, unfiltered joy, love and New Orleans spirit that my job didn't feel like a job at all but rather a friend celebrating two awesome people.
