Hotel Peter and Paul | A New Orleans Wedding Venue Spotlight from a Wedding Photographer's Perspective

In recent years, New Orleans, Louisiana has become a hot spot destination for weddings and elopements with couples traveling from across the globe to celebrate their nuptials in the Big Easy. With no shortage of beautiful venues, one can feel spoiled and overwhelmed with options - it’s a good problem to have. As a wedding photographer working in the New Orleans event industry for nearly 10 years, I’ve become familiar with nearly all of them and have a soft spot for a select few. Hotel Peter and Paul makes the top of that exclusive list.

a morning elopement in the church

A former historic church and school turned luxury hotel in the Marigny neighborhood, Hotel Peter and Paul has so much to offer that I personally love to see as a photographer. Beautifully and tastefully designed rooms and common areas spread across three historic buildings, you are never left wanting for inspiration. My personal favorite spots in the hotel include the third floor stage lounge, the lobby, the Rector’s Repose suite and of course the piece de resistance of the immaculately retained church now utilized for ceremonies and receptions.
